Dalhousie is one of
India
's most popular hill resorts, located in eastern edge of the Dhauladhar range, just east of the
Ravi
river at an altitude of over 2,039 mts
above sea level.
Dalhousie is named after the British governor General of the 19th century,
Lord Dalhousie. Dalhousie, is on the way to Khajjiar.

Subhash Baoli: It is located just one
Km , It was at this enchanting spot surrounded by majestic trees,
Panchpula: This is a picturesque spot
located just three Km where a stream feed a series of pools. A monument has been built
here in memory of the freedom fighter, Sardar Ajit Singh.
Kalatop : This sanctuary is
located in at 10 Km from Dalhousie ,here in this sanctuary you can see the birds in
their natural habitat with a view of varied flora and fauna, as well as ever-changing
symphonies of birdsong as well as'ghoral' and Himalayan black bear. .
Churches : There are four beautiful
churches in Dalhousie. These are St. Andrew's Church and St. Patrick's Church at Balun,
St. Francis church at Subhash Chowk and St.John's Church
Climate:
In winter, the temperature can drop to freezing point when heavy woollens are required.
the summer temperature are mild and light woollens/cottons are recommended.
